Salary/Hourly Rate:

$19/hr – $20/hr

Position Overview:

There are multiple openings for a Machine Operator, 3rd shift. The Machine Operator, 3rd shift will train on 1st shift. The Machine Operator, 3rd shift will need solid basic math skills as well as an eye for safety. The Machine Operator, 3rd shift will work in a team and will need to maintain a professional demeanor and respect for their fellow coworkers. The Machine Operator, 3rd shift must be comfortable being clean shaven regularly. Ability to work overtime and work on Saturdays is required.

Responsibilities of the Machine Operator, 3rd shift:

  • Work with a machine in a fast-paced manufacturing setting to ensure processes are running properly
  • Monitor machine conditions and report any concerns or discrepancies
  • Document all machine conditions and notifications following the company process
  • Adhere to all safety rules and take a conservative approach to safety in daily activities
  • Take samples from the machine for the Quality Control Lab
  • Visually inspect materials from the machine

Qualifications of the Machine Operator, 3rd Shift:

  • Strong math and calculations skills related to basic machine operation
  • Ability to be clean shaven for respirator use regularly
  • Ability to work on Saturdays and work overtime (paid at 1.5x pay rate)
  • Ability to train on 1st shift for several weeks at least
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift medium to heavy materials, and work with a diverse team
  • Experience as a machine operator, particularly any knowledge or experience with coatings would be highly preferred
  • Experience working in a regulated environment or with large machinery is preferred
  • Ability to report to work on time everyday for the assigned shift (3rd)

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED is required
  • Other certifications or advanced coursework are a plus.
