JOB TITLE: MachineMaintenance Mechanic

REPORTS TO: General Manager

EFFECTIVE DATE: 09/29/2022

SUMMARY: Supports all production/facility equipment during normal operation and performs preventive maintenance on all equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of wire drawing machinery and supporting systems and equipment.
  • Routinely inspects and maintains production equipment.
  • Performs routine repairs including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, plumbing and related areas.
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and repairs.
  • Provides support in maintaining the facility as needed.
  • Communicates need for major repairs or additions to equipment.
  • Responds in a timely fashion to problems related to production and facility maintenance and repair.
  • Makes recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities.
  • Complies with OSHA safety and health rules.
  • Maintains a clean, safe working environment.
  • Possesses and maintains a high level of competency and efficiency in all aspects of maintenance operations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three or more years related experience or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and industrial maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and repair industrial equipment.

technical information * Frequently required to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds

  • Continually work near moving mechanical parts
  • Continually required to work in an environment with noise
  • Continually required to operate power tools, fork lifts, welding and other equipment.
