Job Description
Administers nursing care/wound care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Participates in the implementation and evaluation of patient care as it relates to the specialty of wound care. Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks such as vitals, wound assessment, wound dressing changes, patient intake and discharge. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of flexibility is required. Reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. High school diploma and certification as a licensed practical nurse required. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of wound care. Experience in wound care preferred but not required.
