Career Opportunity – Clinical Logistics Associate with Firma Clinical Research, Elk Grove Village, IL

$22.00 to $24.00 hourly pay rate

Firma Clinical Research is a clinical research organization offering global in-home clinical trial studies. We make clinical trial participation possible for patients who otherwise may not have the option. We are looking to add a Clinical Logistics Associate to our team.

• This is an in-office position in Elk Grove Village, IL

The Clinical Logistics Associate is responsible for performing the shipping functions and the administrative functions to support the FIRMA Quality Management System (QMS). Additional duties of this position include assisting with vendor management tasks and administrative clinical requests.

The primary responsibilities will include:

• Manages shipping support for active projects including but not limited to receiving and itemizing inbound shipments, obtaining equipment data, shipping labels, packing slips and kit creation.
• Maintain inventory including by not limited to, study reconciliation, recalibration timelines, study kit photos, disposal, and donation.
• Administration duties as they are applied to specific study teams.
• Perform system updates for electronic study materials.
• Organize materials according to Study Close Out instructions.
• Transfer data from paper format to electronic.
• Communicate via electronic mail acknowledging and sending correspondence in a professional, timely manner.
• Escalate quality concerns to study project manager.
• Packing and tracking outbound shipments.
• Support and develop continuous process improvements.
• Reviewing source documents for completion and storing according to good documentation practice.
• Coordinate with couriers for pick up and any tracking or escalation of shipments not delivered on time.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience defined as a minimum of 6 years related, combined experience in education, knowledge, and skills.
• A minimum of 1 to 2 in shipping, receiving, logistics, supply chain, or a related field required
• Experience working with couriers and packaging/labeling for shipment
• Experience with MS office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook required
• Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail
