HonorBuilt is looking for a motivated individual to serve as our Director of Logistics in our IT Provisioning Warehouse. The position is based out of McDonough, GA.
Our associates receive, inspect, inventory, and store inbound shipments. They provision IT equipment by imaging restaurant Point of Sale, Servers, Computers, and configure Switches, Wi-Fi Access Points and more. As inventory is shipped out, our warehouse associates work with other departments to coordinate accurate and timely deliveries to our clients. Our goal is to provide exceptional customer service by delivering business critical hardware on the first contact so our customers can get back to do doing what they do best… serve their customers!

Job Summary:
The Director of Logistics will oversee and manage the operations of the logistics facility and distribution center.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Hires and supervises logistics managers responsible for all logistics functions.
  • Oversees the day-to-day workflow of the logistics center.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develops the logistics facility to provide a variety of services including public warehousing, distribution, full-service transportation, materials management, and fulfillment services.
  • Gathers needed information on and understanding of customer demands; meets specific needs for transloading, just-in-time shipping, inventory management, distribution, and fulfillment.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with customers to identify opportunities for new services and further expansion of logistics facility.
  • Identifies problems and inefficiencies in logistics processes; presents and implements enhancements and solutions to address these issues.
  • Maintains current knowledge of logistics and technology developments and trends; recommends and implements improvements based on this knowledge to provide more efficient service to clients.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and a variety of duties.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient with computer-based management systems for inventory control, shipping operations, and fulfillment services.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Computer Science, or related field highly preferred; MBA a plus!
  • Ten years of experience in distribution or logistics industry required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk distances up to a half mile.
  • Ability to work while standing on concrete surface continuously.
  • Ability to work while bending, squatting, and kneeling.
  • Ability to work while extending your arms/hands overhead.
  • Climbing and working on ladders up to 12 feet.
  • Lifting objects up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to safely use an OSHA approved ladder.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
