Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods from our suppliers to our customers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery while maintaining optimal inventory levels. The position of Logistics Coordinator is of great significance to Plant Therapy. A person in this position will assist in coordinating tactical activities involved with procuring goods and services as assigned by Purchasing management. The Logistics Coordinator will be a professional, high-energy, self-motivated individual who can function in a team atmosphere and utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must have the ability to prioritize and make sound decisions.

What you will be working on...

Essential Functions:

  • Provide administrative support to the Purchasing Department by assisting with maintenance of business transactions and purchasing documentation
  • Accept and place orders for materials and non-inventory items (i.e. sample bottles, office supplies)
  • Analyze and optimize logistical procedures
  • Ensure purchase order confirmations are received from vendors
  • Follow up with vendors to reconfirm pre-shipment samples are sent timely, ETA’s are on schedule and necessary documentation for shipment has been secured
  • Work closely with brokers to ensure documents for entry are received timely
  • Monitor shipment costs, timelines, and productivity
  • Address and resolve shipment and inventory issues
  • Liaise and negotiate with suppliers
  • Assist Buyers with entry and maintenance of purchase orders for essential oils, chemicals and raw materials
  • Develop and maintain internal and external working relationships to coordinate and communicate as needed
  • Set up new vendors and new item numbers as needed
  • Coordinate the flow of goods from suppliers to customers, ensuring timely delivery and optimal inventory levels
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers, negotiating terms and resolving issues as needed
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate with suppliers to ensure adequate stock levels
  • Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for process optimization
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and other logistics data
  • Coordinate with other departments, including sales, customer service, and warehouse, to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Manage transportation providers and negotiate freight rates
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including customs, trade compliance, and transportation regulations

What you need to be successful...

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong data entry skills – speed and accuracy, and demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
