Who You Are
The Loan Operations Specialist performs a variety of functions necessary to support the monetary and technical support for commercial loan process. You will work directly with lenders, financial institutions, and other departments assuring consistent communications in a professional, timely manner. Providing service to our customers and branch personnel with any questions regarding loans or payment issues. A successful candidate is very detail-oriented, analytical and very customer service oriented. This position will be in the office full-time.
Your Role
- Input all new loans and modified loan information in accounting system for all commercial, mortgage and consumer loans.
- Process client draws, inputs, payments, and maintenance on loans and prepare and process all payment and payoff letters accordingly.
- Process escrow payouts for tax and insurance payments and maintains the escrow database of all loans with escrow, review escrow analysis reports notifying customers of shortages or refunds accordingly.
- Analyze and review audit reports for rejected items and consumer loan billing, correcting errors and payments where needed.
- Maintains a running balance of Commercial Loan fees and tracks them daily on an Excel spread sheet that is sent to upper management.
Experience and Skills:
Your Knowledge and Experience
- High School Diploma required; 2 years of college education or equivalent experience preferred.
- Previous work experience in loan operations, with exposure to commercial and consumer loan products.
- Knowledge of computerized banking applications and experience in application maintenance.
- Exceptional organization, time management and follow-up skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, bank employees and outside service providers.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and a wide range of procedures requiring sound judgement.
- Proficient with Excel and other Microsoft Office software.
