Your Responsibilities
Maloney Properties is seeking candidates for a Live-In Responder at the Robert McBride House, a residential property in the Fenway area of Boston, MA. The Live-In Responder will provide on-call coverage between the hours of 5:00pm and 8:00am Monday through Friday and 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday. The duties of this position will include:
- Assisting with resident lockouts
- Responding to in-unit emergency pull-chord alarms and notifying staff and first responders, as required.
- Assessing and responding to emergency work orders at the property, and reporting issues to the Maintenance Superintendent.
- Assisting in emergency wellness checks by first responders.
- Patrolling the property and reporting safety concerns to management and police.
- Light snow removal and janitorial duties, as needed.
- Assisting in covering on-call duties of a nearby partner site.
This position requires the Responder to be available during traditional non-business hours, including holidays and weekends. Notwithstanding planned vacations, it is expected the Live-in Responder will be no more than 15 minutes from the property to respond to issues. The compensation provided for these services is a rent-free 1-bedroom apartment.
Your Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a responsible person with good interpersonal skills, ability to respond well in emergencies, and who leads a quiet lifestyle. Candidates are required to have a pre-employment physical exam and a background/CORI check. Successful candidates will be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment.
