Litigation Paralegal Job at Hire Counsel

What You Will Be Doing:
- Maintain attorney calendars and schedules; working with court staff to obtain hearing dates and trial schedules
- Draft documents such as pleadings, discovery demands and correspondence
- Prepare responsible production documents to discovery or subpoena requests
- Electronically file/e-service of pleadings and discovery
- Research expert witnesses utilizing Westlaw
- Summarize records and reports such as depositions, medical records, internal documents and incoming discovery
- Obtain, review and analyze documents, including medical records
- Prepare for trial by preparing trial notebooks, exhibits, and witness files
- Compile evidence and supporting information by searching records, discovery documents, transcripts, libraries and databases
What the Law Firm is Looking For In the Candidate:
- Experience as a litigation paralegal: at least 3 years handling the tasks above required
- Defense side litigation experience is a must
- At least 3 years in similar role billing 150 hours per month
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Position Details:
- Start date: Upon successful completion of interview
- Expected Schedule: 40 hours a week with minimal overtime as needed
- Salary: $60k-$75k DOE
- Location: San Antonio, TX
