LineX Truck Bed-Liner Installer, NO WEEKENDS, 5 Days Per Week
The Northern Michigan LineX franchise is located at Brake & Alignment Plus on Barlow beside the post office in Traverse City. The business has been part of the Bill Marsh Auto Group (with 330 employees) for 11 years. Currently, we are looking to fill one full-time installer position.
Compensation
The pay for the LineX installer position varies based on skill starting at $12/hr. With paid holidays, there are 109 days off in 2019. So, enjoy your family! Career (and subsequently compensation) advancement depends on the individual and their desire to succeed within the Bill Marsh Auto Group.

Some body shop experience is helpful but not necessary. A knowledge of how to work around chemicals would also be considered. The entire process is an engineered process and we are the only LineX franchise in Northern Michigan.
Here's a Description of How the Line-X Process Works and How the Installer Fits into the Process
- First, there will be some disassembly of body parts (trim / tailgate).
- Then, the installer will identify and tape-off the area that is being coated.
- The paint surface needs to be thoroughly cleaned with a special cleaner.
- After that, the installer will use tools to scuff the surface. Doing so, allows the LineX material to adhere.
- The LineX material is applied at a particular temperature and then inspected.
If you are someone who likes autonomy and pretty much being your own boss, this job might be just right for you. You generally work on your own allowing you to listen to your own music or maybe even an audio book while you work! The job is physically demanding. Getting in and out of a truck bed, lifting, kneeling. During application of the LineX material, a hazmat suit with a full-faced mask and gloves must be worn. Typically, we process on-average, two trucks a day but would definitely be able to do more with extra help. A high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license are required.
