We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Legal Assistant / Paralegal to join our thriving legal team. This is a permanent position in the legal industry, and we are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 2 years of experience in paralegal work. The ideal candidate will have experience in Personal Injury law and be bilingual in Spanish.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting legal research and drafting legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Preparing and filing legal documents with the court
- Assisting attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions
- Communicating with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel
- Managing and organizing case files and documents
- Assisting in the preparation of settlement agreements and releases
- Performing administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars
- Providing translation and interpretation services for Spanish-speaking clients
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in paralegal work
- Experience in Personal Injury law is required
- Bilingual in Spanish is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research databases
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
