What you’ll learn & achieve::
- Provide UL Solutions staff and others with technical information on equipment applications covered by the installation code and standards for which technical expertise, code development and code enforcement is required.
- Interact with code authorities to support UL Solutions key initiatives and business offerings, including SolarAPP+.
- Lead code and standards development activities as directed to help achieve UL Solutions business and public safety related objectives.
- Interact with internal and external parties to advance organization positions, and to identify new regulatory related business opportunities for UL Solutions.
- Plan, conduct and supervise code and regulatory related projects of major magnitude and scope.
- Provide expert advice in all technical areas of the department and assists in the development of Regulatory Services plans and projects as directed.
- Work with UL Solutions staff in other departments to improve the ways in which certification information is presented, to enhance UL Solutions reputation as the premier product certifier in the world.
- Resolve complex code and certification related issues.
- Represent UL Solutions at meetings of outside organizations and provides presentations on a variety of code and certification related technical topics.
- Read and follow the UL Solutions Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
- Perform other duties as directed.
- Successful completion of one of the following degrees or vocational training curriculum from an accredited program:
- (1) a University Degree in Engineering, or engineering technology,
- (2) a four year apprenticeship, or
- (3) a two year Associate of Science degree and a professional certification in a relevant code discipline that was achieved by passing a technical examination.
In addition minimum six years experience with the enforcement of codes and regulations, or in regulatory related design or certification work, or equivalent demonstrated competency.

- Total Rewards: The salary range for this position is $84,800-$113,000 and is based upon years of experience that is commensurate with the level of the position.
All employees at UL Solutions are eligible for annual bonus compensation. The target for this position is 20% of the base salary offered. Employees are eligible for health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental & financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country, for the relevant position level. We also provide employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
