Lead Member Experience Agent Job at Garden Island Federal Credit Union
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for teller function ensuring and enforcing daily regulatory compliance and balancing. Maintains vault cash and oversees share drafts/ACH services. Assists Operations Supervisor as required.
ESSENTIALS DUTIES:
- Responsible for teller function; trains tellers on computer system, processing deposits, loan payments, share withdrawals, and other transactions.
- Assists tellers with out-of-balance situations.
- Maintains vault cash; distributes cash advances to tellers; balances vault cash daily, following company procedures. Ensures vault locked at all times when away from vault.
- Verifies and logs incoming mail for payments, deposits, and other transactions.
- Process returned checks and maintain payments of uncollected funds.
- Maintain and process dormant and negative balance accounts.
- Screens debit card applications. Order new card if approved.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Research requests and performs other duties as directed.
- Performs duties of Operations Support Specialists or Teller as needed.
- Attends seminars, conferences, workshops, meetings on/off island as directed.
EQUIPMENT USES: Telephone, PC, copier, 10-key adding machine, typewriter, shredder, and fax.
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires alertness and attention to detail. A considerable level of diplomacy and trust required as well as courtesy and tact. Strong focus in meeting member needs and satisfaction.
COMMUNICATIONS DEMANDS: Requires conversing with co-workers, management, staff, members and outside trade persons/vendors in person and over the telephone.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIMENTS:
Skills/Knowledge: Type 25 wpm; 10-key by touch; knowledge of PC or basic financial electronic data processing helpful.
Education & Experience: HS diploma or equivalent plus minimum two (2) years extensive cash handling experience and one (1) year in a leadership role required. Prior credit union or other financial institution experience beneficial.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
