HVAC Superintendent (Multi-family New Construction)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Superintendent is responsible for the on-site management of the project and coordinating with the Project Manager on the schedule, scope, and managing third-party contractors. Also coordinates with service technicians to ensure timely project delivery.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience as a HVAC supervisor/superintendent on new construction
  • Large-scale residential or commercial/multifamily experience.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Installing HVAC units in new construction, residential settings
  • Experience with managing subcontractors as well as maintaining relationship with GC and internal customers.
  • Good communications skills in English. Bi-lingual Spanish is a plus.
  • Good organizational skills and technically savvy (computer skills, being able to use/learn ProCore, eSub, and other software for bids, submittals, etc.)
  • Experienced in planning and coordinating of crews with tasks to be performed, and monitoring performance.
  • Key communication point for their job with Project Manager, Area Manager, HR, Safety, Sub-contractors, and other key partners.
  • Ability to read and comprehend construction blueprints
  • Knowledge of HVAC duct configurations and airflow impact
  • Understands submittal data and related construction documents
  • Understands equipment installation and operations manuals
  • Experienced with sheet metal, duct board and flexible duct systems
  • Knowledge of HVAC start up procedures and troubleshooting
  • Valid driver's license

Experience:

  • 5+ years of new construction experience / HVAC installation experience

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • HVAC Technical School preferred

Computer Skills:

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office
  • Familiar with iPad and iPhone
  • Familiar with Smartsheets and PlanGrid

Certifications:

  • OSHA 10 (minimum), OSHA 30 preferred
