HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE TO OUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

As a Pedestal Foods Lead Cook, you’ll direct staff and have a set menu to follow and some creative latitude. Our cooks get to collaborate with Pedestal Foods leadership and school leaders to create unique menu offerings for regular and special events. It’s the best of both worlds.

Our lead cooks are also expected to:

• Order supplies, maintain accurate inventory and manage vendor accounts
• Plan menus and price food items
• Prepare food items by adhering to all safe, sanitary food-handling practices and regulations

THE INGREDIENTS TO YOUR SUCCESS

• You have a desire to serve others and be a blessing
• You can work efficiently and effectively with a commitment to excellence
• You are willing to jump in and get the job done; no matter the task
• You look for opportunities to serve others and create a positive experience
• You can do the tough stuff – stand for long periods of time and lift a minimum of 25 pounds
• You have a High School diploma or GED
• Previous experience in food service/food preparation
• One (1) year of experience as a cook
• One (1) year of supervisory experience
