Laboratory Assistant Job at Crestwood Medical Center
Receive and sort clinical lab specimens. Prepare specimens for testing and analysis. Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information. Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.
Troubleshoot any specimen related issues. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested. Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.
Prepare and plant microbiology specimens, prepare and stain slides for analysis, and record test information. Responsible for cleaning and restocking the lab facility, keeping inventory, and ordering lab supplies. Uses multiple electronic systems to conduct registration and order entry functions. Processes and prepares specimens maintaining proper specimen identification and sample integrity, for testing in various laboratory sections.
Works cooperatively with others, supports, and addresses any customer service needs. Performs other duties as assigned.
