Lab Technician (Contract) Job at Bray International, Inc.
This contract position supports engineering activities such as design, testing, software modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry or specialized test equipment. Maintain lab for engineering team.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities: Design, develop and support electronic and electro-mechanical features of products within the Controls Group and provide support to manufacturing. Ability to work directly with engineers to help develop new products. Create schedules and provide deliverables on-time. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Capable of expressing opinions openly and working as an engineering team member.
Qualifications and Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities): Preference is for someone with an associate degree or equivalent experience with 2-5 years’ experience. Permanent work authorization for the USA preferred. High-energy, flexible, self-starter, hands-on worker. Core Competencies: Must be able to speak, read, and write English at high school level minimum. Working knowledge with MS Office computer applications (Excel, Word, Access, Powerpoint) minimum. Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and trouble-shooting functions. Performs operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assists in the design, construction, test, and check-out of test equipment. Uses test, development, or diagnostic equipment. Actively engage in communication related to testing and results, equipment issues, and workload progress. Communicating results in both oral and written forms if required. Experience with networking and network protocols like Devicenet, Ethernet IP, HART. Familiarity with IoT referred. Solder skills strongly preferred
