Designer
Role:
This position assists the lead designer and designer manager with any necessary day to day design functions as requested. This position is managed by the design manager and is a full-time position.
Responsibilities:
Offsite/Jobsite
- Attend granite yard trips as needed
- Attend cabinet deliveries as needed
- Attend onsite prep meetings as needed
- Attend onsite measures as needed
Design
- Be able to order cabinets for any hall or master bathroom
- Be able to proof cabinet orders for any project type
- Be able to accurately understand and read kitchen, hall bathroom, and master bathroom floorplans
- Be able to create selection sheets for any finish material
- Be able to proof selection sheets and train design associate and apprentice on how to create them
- Understand appliance specifications and be able to print the necessary pages of the installation instructions and owners’ manuals to be included in the jobsite and office binders
- Be able to understand plumbing specifications
- Be able to draft 2020 plans and make changes to selected client plans with instruction from the lead designer and design manager
- Be able to make project layout suggestions to the lead designer and design manager
- Be able to check stock and pricing information for any finish material
- Attend vendor meetings at the showroom and offsite
- Be able to proof job summaries for any project type
- Be able to calculate tile, paint, and cabinet hardware counts
- Be able to set up palettes for client meetings
- Be able to create client selection PowerPoints
- Attend weekly sales meeting
Financial
- Assist in creating the final versions of the master bathroom, hall bathroom, and kitchen budget binders
- Assist in creation of faucet packages for groups A, B, and C with instruction from sales manager
- Assist in creation of sink packages from groups A, B, and C with instruction from the sales manager
Client Correspondence
- Coordinate with clients and schedule preliminary sales and design meetings with assistance from sales and design managers
- Be able to lead preliminary design meetings with clients
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $41,600.00 per year
