Our Ideal Business Development Manager will:
Be responsible for planning, managing, and achieving sales revenue and profit plan for all IPS brands sold through Key Accounts. This position will work remotely and requires travel of up to 50% of the time. Preference will be given to those who live in the Southeastern U.S.
In this role at IPS, you will:
- Systematically and strategically prioritize and manage relationships through direct contact with key account and category management teams via face-to-face, telephone, lunches, emails, shows/markets and other events.
- Manage and drive key account for IPS product sales performance and profitability.
- Anticipate customer needs and proactively address those needs.
- Identify and foster growth opportunities within key account via most effective product placement and promotional opportunities.
- Analyze sales report to monitor top and bottom-line sales performance. Work with marketing team to jump start under-performing products and expand visibility and opportunities for well-performing products.
- Develop, present, and recommend competitive sales opportunities for key account market niche.
- Communicate, identify trends and address individual account needs within supply chain.
- Work with marketing to develop and maintaining a winning strategy in sales, merchandising, packaging, and product development.
- Participate and attend trade shows.
- Problem-solve in the field.
- Learn, integrate, and apply IPS Business System
- Other duties as assigned.
Critical Success Factors for the Ideal Candidate Profile are:
- High-level communication and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills including ability to establish rapport with customers, persuade or negotiate with decision makers, and train on IPS product applications.
- Ability to drive sales strategy, create tactics and measure or analyze results.

Your Education and/or Background Experience will have:
- Bachelor’s Degree – Business or related field, required.
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ sales experience in the Plumbing and Heating Industry, preferably calling on national accounts and or big box retailers.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Home Improvement Industry. Plumbing knowledge is a plus.
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
Physical Requirements:
