Job Summary:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing the entire Maintenance department along with performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
Main Responsibilities:

- Oversees maintenance operations for entire facility
- Responsible for managing maintenance department to meet budget requirements
- Controls inventory and monitors all related maintenance supplies and plant equipment parts
- Carry out diverse skilled activities involving the repair and maintenance of equipment and facilities
- Ensure the maintenance of equipment and tools in a clean, secure, and appropriate working condition.
- Successful installation and start-up of new equipment
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, diagnosis and repair of heavy equipment and diesel engines
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, heavy equipment, diesel engines, and plant facilities
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production/heavy equipment and diesel engines during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production/heavy equipment during machine service.
- Confers/consults with third party contractors to perform activities, repairs, preventative maintenance, etc. as needed
- Communicates directly with the operations department to coordinate maintenance and repair work in the process areas
- Maintain positive employee relations and morale
- Comply with all regulatory rules and requirements with health and safety /OSHA
- Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs and shut downs
- Reports directly to the Facility Manager
- Perform other duties as assigned
Maintenance Manager Requirements:
- High school Diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience
- Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills
- Diesel engine/electrical experience
- Strong ability to interpret, illustrate, and apply regulation codes and rules
- High attention to detail
- 2+ years of Supervisory experience
