The Junior Graphic Designer is responsible for designing marketing assets to support social media campaigns, digital marketing and event marketing needs, and make necessary updates to existing marketing materials while working within established brand identities.

Hybrid Work Week (4 days work in office (M-Th) and work from home on Fridays). This job is located in Scottsdale, AZ and there is no relocation available.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS:

• Create designs, concepts and sample layouts for digital and printed materials such as web banners and social media, promotional flyers, business cards and stationery, event signage and banners and other event marketing materials.
• Use computer software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) to create new images and execute designs.
• Collaborate with other designers and coworkers to discuss and determine concept, deliverable and layout design.
• Make necessary updates to existing marketing materials as information is updated about company or product offerings.
• Review and make text and image corrections as needed.
• Brainstorm with coworkers to create and mock-up design ideas for seasonal and product campaigns.
• Complete tasks as assigned within the project managing system Asana.
• Work additional hours as needed, to meet project deadlines and preparation for key events.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Strong artistic ability and creativity skills to design within the parameters of established branding.
• Strong knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts with color and composition.
• Strong technical skills and expert knowledge of and ability to use Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Advanced understanding of file formats and digital pre-press.
• Strong digital photography and color correction skills and knowledge.
• MS Word, PowerPoint and Keynote, MS Outlook knowledge.
• Strong typography skills.
• Excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively present and sell ideas verbally and visually.
• Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to produce accurate work in a high-pressure environment with shifting priorities.
• Ability to receive constructive feedback and apply in a positive manner.
• Extreme attention to detail and problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, able and willing to develop and learn continuously.
• Strong organizational skills, time-management skills including ability to meet independent and team deadlines within defined budgets.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB DUTIES:

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or similar concentration.
• 0-3 plus years of work experience in graphic design and production.
• One or more years of work experience using Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Candidates will need to provide a portfolio showing demonstrated experience with creative projects.
