Guild is hiring a Junior Designer. This role sits on our Brand team (a collective of storytellers, innovators, strategists, and creatives) and will contribute to innovative and meaningful projects in support of our key audiences and business needs. The Junior Designer will help enable and activate Guild's visual presence internally and externally, supporting our efforts to establish an iconic, purposeful brand through outstanding creative work.
As a Junior Designer you will:
- Work alongside a team of designers and collaborate across all creative output, contributing to a positive and inclusive culture
- Assist in the production and execution of assets for print and digital, including presentation decks, social media graphics, events, charts/diagrams, guides, and emails
- Operate with moderate direction and guidance, ensuring all work adheres to brand guidelines
- Help complete creative concepts, crafting high-quality and production-ready deliverables according to deadlines
- Support the evolution of Guild's brand while bringing an outstanding perspective to the work
- Uphold and follow team processes and systems
- Demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving by tackling projects of varying complexity
- Communicate, participate, and prepare for design walkthroughs, critiques, and reviews
Required Proficiencies:
- Web or PDF portfolio showing a range of design work (Applications without a portfolio will not be considered)
- Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, or similar field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-3 years of experience in a Junior Designer or similar role (internships and volunteer work qualify)
- Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite and Google Workspace
- A desire and willingness to learn and develop your professional skills
- A keen eye for detail with high standards for the work
- Diligent understanding of visual elements and design principles
- Solid problem-solving, critical thinking and communication skills
- A humble and hard-working attitude, with an excitement to work in a fast-paced and scaling company
Preferred Competencies
- In-house or agency experience
- Familiarity with additional tools like Figma, Ceros, Miro, Notion a plus
- Motion graphics, video, or photography knowledge a plus
We feel passionately about equal pay for equal work, and transparency in compensation is one vehicle to achieve that. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a base salary range of $55,000- $66,250 as well as company stock options.
