Journeyman Plumber Job at Kilgore Ind.
Kilgore Industries, one of the largest Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing subcontractors in the state of Texas, and a 2022 Houston Chronicle Top Workplace is growing, and the key to this growth is having the best team in the industry! We are looking for an experienced Licensed Journeyman Plumber who is looking to grow with the industry leader. The Plumber is responsible for the installation, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of commercial and/or industrial plumbing systems and their associated components. Additionally, this team member will properly plan for and layout project work while completing projects in a safe and timely manner.
POSITION DUTIES:
- Install, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and/or industrial plumbing systems and their associated components
- Operates various testing instruments
- Reads schematic and wiring diagrams
- Properly performs soldering & brazing of piping and components
- Properly handles and transfers refrigerants, per EPA requirement
- Administrative duties – OSHA, timesheets, e-mails, text messages, daily reporting
- Works indoors and outdoors
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years of service experience in installations, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial and/or industrial plumbing systems and their associated components
- Experience with boilers
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current valid Journeyman Plumber License
- Valid TX Driver’s License
- OSHA 10 or the ability to complete it within 60 days
- Able to regularly lift 50 pounds
- Great customer service skills and neat appearance
- Works well in a team environment
