Journeyman Machinist Job at Trion
JOURNEYMAN MACHINIST
We are in search of a Manual Machinist that can perform under minimal supervision the following: set up and operate manually controlled machines in skilled precision, bench work in fabrication, general maintenance on machines including alteration and repair machinery, machine parts to print, and understand tooling and materials.
· Preforms all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
· Read and understand blueprints.
· Use of gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
· Use of precision tool, machinery and equipment such as lathe, mills, drill press, chop saw, band saw, and a variety of cutting tools and equipment.
· Fabricates and shapes parts such as tools and machine parts out of metal, plastics, and composites.
· Properly and safely selects, aligns, secures and removes holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials onto machines.
· Recognizes, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures and tooling.
· Preforms daily and regular cleaning including light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
· Evaluate experimental procedures and recommends change or modifications for efficiency and adaptability to setup manual production.
This is a direct hire position. Pay based on experience. Hours are M - F, 8 am - 4:30 pm with 30 minute unpaid lunch. Benefits eligibility after 90 days.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
