The Janitor is responsible for cleaning the offices, laundry room, community room and other common areas and the interior of any vacant apartments, if necessary.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Remove trash from and cleaning the office, community room, recreation area, laundry room, restrooms and other common areas on a daily basis or as needed.
- Clean the exteriors of the community and dumpster areas and hose down the dumpster area as needed.
- Sweep all public areas, breezeways, sidewalks and streets as needed, and keep these areas free of trash and debris. Pick up trash observed on the property and clean the interior of any vacant apartments as necessary.
- Advise the Community Manager of any housekeeping problems and reporting all damage or needed repairs to the Community Manager.
- Establish and execute a regular janitorial maintenance schedule for the community.
- Maintain a clean, orderly and secure workshop and ensure all equipment is in proper working condition.
- Exercise control over janitorial expenditures. Inform and make recommendations to the Community Manager for the purchase of needed parts, supplies, equipment and services. Maintain an inventory of frequently used parts, materials and supplies.
- Following OSHA safety programs and following all community policies and procedures and governmental laws and regulations.
