Under general direction, the IT Technical Lead is responsible for leading the staff and operations of the help desk team. Ensures technical design, configuration, and implementation of local and wide area network solutions between multiple platforms, including ongoing technical support to remote area networks and internet. Has thorough knowledge of multi-protocol systems and extensive implementation experience with multi-vendor network systems. Is responsible for troubleshooting network usage, workstations, and computer peripherals. Will develop and implement policies and standards and ensures adherence to security procedures.

A. Essential Functions

1. Leverage a good understanding of business processes and information flows, function as an inter/intra-group liaison and lead project efforts as required.

2. Recommend and procure hardware and storage space for operating systems, software, and network requirements.

3. Analyze, design, install, configure, and maintain peripheral device architecture including, but not limited to, printers and scanners.

4. Design, install, configure, and maintain a highly available server infrastructure by applying operating system updates and patches, managing configuration changes, maintenance of storage systems, and general systems tuning and administration in a Windows Server 2016, 2019, Linux, and RDP environment.

5. Design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot an Active Directory infrastructure.

6. Design, implement, and maintain IP and associated services (WINS/DNS/DHCP).

7. Design, implement, and maintain server and workstation backup infrastructure.

8. Manage and apply server and workstation monthly patches and Windows version update.

9. Design, create, implement, and maintain thin clients and RDP apps within RDP environment.

10. Design, manage, and troubleshoot RDP issues at a user, server and thin client level to maximize uptime for all users.

11. Manage Windows Client Administration and Virtual machines.

12. Manage Apple devices – iPhone, iMac and iPads.

13. Manage RDP application servers, remote workspace and physical terminals.

14. Manage disaster recovery setup in Microsoft Azure.

15. Manage Veeam backups and Cloudberry backup.

16. Specify and maintain an EMC CX SAN environment.

17. Manage, maintain, and upgrade internal Windows Enterprise software applications.

18. Manage, maintain and configure scan guns.

19. Provide 24x7/365 availability in circumstances of outage.

B. Additional Job Responsibilities

1. Monitor, maintain, and backup a SQL Server environment.

2. Manage and maintain anti-virus solutions for servers and workstations.

3. Automate administrative tasks through scripting in a Windows, Linux, RDP, and EMC CX SAN environment.

4. Actively participate in new and escalated user desktop support functions.

5. Perform all defined responsibilities in the support of local and remote offices.

6. Provide IT operations process improvement recommendations and implementation.

7. Troubleshoot and solve common network issues.

8. Troubleshoot and solve all data center related issues.

C. Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

2. 5+ years of experience in an information technology role, including exposure to, Linux, PC, networking

3. Minimum 2+ years of experience in Veeam and MS Azure maintenance

4. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals or technical procedures

5. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals

6. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and employees

7. Must have proven ability to think analytically and be a troubleshooter and problem solver

8. Ability to apply concepts such a fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions and customized reports

9. Must work well with people

D. Additional Preferred Qualifications

1. Microsoft MCSA / MCSE certification or equivalent experience.

2. Experience with networking and managing corporate networks

3. Exposure to Oracle and Oracle Applications

4. Knowledge of .net and Office VBA and tool set creation

Pay: $79,000.00 - $118,500.00 per year
