Job Purpose: You are a dedicated and focused team member who performs administrative tasks related to the maintenance of the organization’s network, software, and hardware. You provide technical assistance to internal computer users, implement changes to IT infrastructure, as well as investigate and resolve computer software and hardware problems.

Schedule: Full-time

Location: Twin Cities, MN

  • Fully on-site for the first month; partial remote (up to 70%) work negotiable thereafter

Pay : $60,000 - $70,000

What you will be doing:

Process – Manage and maintain virtual machine infrastructure, Active Directory group policies, backup strategy, and updates for servers and computers. Monitor and analyze network and server performance.

Continuous Improvement – Repair, upgrade and maintain equipment and devices as needed. Recommend and schedule desktop, server, and network upgrades and repairs. Assist in implementing new IT software and infrastructure.

Produce – Develop and document department standards and processes including everyday workflows, network security and disaster recovery.

Support – Act as a member of the help desk staff to ensure problems are resolved in a timely manner and according to department standards. Configure and troubleshoot servers and workstations, switches, firewalls, and end-user devices.

What we are looking for:

Schedule – Regular, predictable attendance, punctuality, and availability to work during operational hours as defined by leadership. Occasional evening and weekend shifts will be necessary. Share in on-call rotation.

Experience & Computer Skills – 5+ years of experience providing technical support. 3+ years of experience supporting Microsoft Active Directory environments and a variety of software. Demonstrate a firm proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software.

Adaptability – Ability to work in a professional manner with attention to detail in a variety of situations.

Communication – Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Ability to work as a member of the team and partner collaboratively with all departments.

Physical & Emotional Capabilities – Must be able to handle the physical and emotional aspect of work in an animal shelter environment. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Transportation - Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required.
