IT SME (Contractor) Job at Ease Learning
Ease Learning is looking for IT SMES for the below courses.
$2,000 - $4,000 per competency, 15-20 hours per week

SME Requirements: * Qualified SMEs should have at least a master’s degree (with a PhD preferred) in the discipline area. A minimum of three years of teaching experience on the collegiate level, or equivalent practical experience within the field, is recommended. All SMEs working on the project will have applicable education and/or work experience for the assigned assessments.
To the extent possible, Customer prefers that SMEs have the following additional credentials:
- Item writing experience
- Dual/concurrent careers as educators and practitioners
We need 1-2 SMEs for each course below:
- Cybersecurity Management: BS or higher degree in Info Technology or Computer Science. 7+ years work experience and current position – management or higher – in Cybersecurity, that ideally includes security standards/regulations compliance, risk management, etc. Holds ISACA CISM certification. Dual/concurrent career as educator and practitioner is a nice-to-have. Item-writing and/or curriculum design or development experience is nice-to-have.

Course Development*
Provide subject matter expertise and develop one complete and enrollment-ready course with course introductory material and one section of curriculum per competency in conjunction with a learning designer. The SME is responsible for content creation, reviewing resources, ensuring alignment to content, and assessment item creation following all guidelines provided by the client and learning design team.
The average section word count is 12,000 words (+/- 25%).
A competency/section consists of:
- Section opener
- Lessons (one per Learning Objective)
- One lesson opener
- Units (one per Essential Question)
- Pages (learning components such as videos, readings, instructional images, audio recordings, interactivities, etc.)
- In-line activities (i.e., learning checks, reflection, practice, explore, apply, self-assess)
- Lesson Key Terms (average 15 terms per section +/-25%)
- Lesson Attributions and References
- One Lesson Summary
- One Lesson Quiz (average 5-10 items per quiz +/- 25%)
- Multi-lesson quiz (optional, as required per provided design; average 30-50 items per quiz +/-25%)
- Section summary
- Section Test (30-50 items per test +/- 25%)
- Suggest content for/review up to 10 custom complex instructional illustrations (not responsible for creation)
- Sections are developed first in manuscript form (Word document), and, upon Client approval, are built in the designated LMS (i.e., Smart Author, OEX, Soomo, etc.). The SME is not responsible for building the course in the LMS but may be asked to review the final course.
