IT Quality Assurance Analyst, National Medical Care, Inc., a Fresenius Medical Care N.A. company, Lexington, Massachusetts

Purpose and Scope:

Responsible for performing software testing of projects, enhancements, and defects. Will review software requirements and be responsible for the development and review of test cases and their execution.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participating as a member of the Software Development Life Cycle team from initiation through to release following the Waterfall and/or Agile development methodologies.
• Participating in project meetings with cross functional team members.
• Reviewing and providing input on software functional requirement definitions.
• Preparing test plans and test case definitions.
• Documenting test cases in MF ALM Quality Center.
• Performing testing based on test case definitions.
• Documenting and reporting defects in HP ALM Quality Center.
• Working with Software Developers to answer questions that may arise during testing and to resolve technical issues.
• Performing testing of defect fixes.
• Prepares test automation scripts using MF UFT & Katalon to streamline and minimize manual efforts in testing.
• Integrates test automation scripts into MF Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Quality Center Edition.
• Creating & maintaining automated jobs to schedule & Control execution of automated test scripts and supporting & enabling CI (Continuous Integration) / CD (Continuous Development) pipeline using Version Control systems including Bitbucket and GitHub.
• Develops test scripts for Application Programming Interface (API) testing using Jenkins.
• Fixes/ updates Automation test scripts when a new feature is merged to master code base, ensure stable centralized repository for the build using Bitbucket to track files, code and the changes made to them over time.
• Reporting test status to supervisor and cross functional team members.

Education Experience and Required Skills:

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in Computer Science, IT, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a closely related field and 2 years of experience as a Software QA/Testing Analyst.

Position also requires 2 years of experience (which can have been gained concurrently with the primary experience requirement above) working with the following:

• Software QA process and testing methodology including unit, integration, system, and acceptance testing and working with MF ALM Quality Center.
• Manual testing, logging defects and working through resolution and closure of the defects.
• Writing SQL queries in Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Performing testing in web-based environments.
