IT Logistics Specialist

Purpose of Role
Responsible for assisting with rollout of PC’s and POS hardware to store locations. Remote instruction and troubleshooting will be provided to store locations and onsite technicians. Assist with other hardware troubleshooting as required.
Preferred candidates will have experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment, as well as experience and knowledge of reverse logistics process.
Specific Job Description
- Assist with hardware rollout to store locations. This includes interacting with store personnel and onsite technicians.
- Perform remote troubleshooting of store POS equipment including PC’s, monitors, Lexmark printers, barcode printers, HP printers, receipt printers and barcode scanners
- Using a computerized system, perform remote configurations and equipment setup.
- Interact with Shop Support Personnel and Shop Personnel as needed to provide assistance with troubleshooting hardware problems.
- Research and resolve hardware problems, logging customer calls with updates, status, and completion information in ticketing system.
- Configure and Troubleshoot Networking equipment for stores.
- Assistance with hardware configuration and shipping as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Span of Control
- Has no direct or indirect reports
- Work is closely supervised.
- Follows specific, detailed instructions.
Physical Demands
- Standing – Continuously throughout work shifts as devices are repaired, configured, packaged, and shipped. Also, during inventory management/maintenance.
- Sitting – Occasionally throughout shift while performing ticket/email follow-ups.
- Bending – Frequently in all directions, using proper bending techniques, while shipping/receiving, stocking, rotating, and transporting inventory.
- Lifting
- Frequently throughout work shifts while shipping/receiving, stocking, rotating, and moving devices to/from workbenches.
- Frequently lift and carry, without assistance, loads of up to 40 pounds for short distances as well as up/down ladders.
- Occasionally participate in group lifts of over 41 pounds
- Reaching - Frequently perform extended reaches into pallet-depth racks as materials are stocked, rotated, and retrieved. These extended reaches are occasionally performed from a ladder.
- Walking – Frequent walking between storeroom and production area.
- Climbing – Occasional ladder climbing to reach material storage areas on shelves and racks.

Physical Requirements
- Lifting/Carrying – Must be able to occasionally perform an extended reach from a ladder into a pallet rack to perform a lift of up to 30 pounds.
- Tools
- Frequent use of basic hand tools
- Occasional use of electric/hydraulic pallet stacker
- Chemicals – Occasional use of basic household cleaning agents like window cleaner, isopropyl alcohol, etc.
Environmental Demands:
- Noise – Frequently exposed to the type of loud noises which are common in a warehouse environment.
- Occasionally work is performed in an office environment where noise levels are low.
- Occasional exposure to extreme cold and hot weather.
Definitions:
Occasional = 20% of time or less
Frequent = 20 – 75% of the time
Constant = Greater than 75% of the time
Typical Minimum Education & Experience; Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required
- High School diploma or GED with 2+ years related experience.
- Associates degree or technical school preferred
- Point of Sale (POS) hardware experience preferred.
- Ability to remotely diagnose and repair PC hardware problems.
- Dell Warranty Parts Direct certification preferred.
- A+ Certification preferred.
- Knowledge of CCTV systems preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot Windows 7 & 10 issues.
- Ability to communicate very technical information in an easy to understand manner.
- Effective follow-up and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service, oral and written skills.
- Previous telephone customer service experience.
- Microsoft Office suite experience, (Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Warehouse Inventory experience.
- Must be able to operate, or able to learn how to operate, a hydraulic pallet stacker
