The Athos Group LLC has an immediate need for an IT Computer Technician II for the Athos Group and their subsidiaries RollKall Technologies, a rapidly growing SaaS company providing the industry’s only comprehensive off-duty management solutions and Summit Off Duty Services, a white-glove staffing provider in the off-duty arena.
Job Summary
The IT Computer Technician II works independently, and is responsible for installing and maintaining basic/advanced computer equipment, software, applications, printers, and peripherals. In this role, they will troubleshoot technical issues and provide intermediate support for service desk operations, monitor systems performance, identify system malfunctions, and respond to alerts. Additionally, this position is responsible for software, asset management, and general day-to-day help desk requests, for both onsite and remote employees in a mixed OS environment.
Computer Technician II Job Duties
- Set up and configure computers and peripheral equipment such as MAC and Windows computers, printers, scanners, etc.
- Perform audits and tests on computer systems, networks and hardware to ensure it is functioning properly
- Attempt to replicate reported technical problems and look for solutions
- Ensure all software and hardware is up-to-date on computers and servers and install updates as required
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to avoid system outages and failures
- Maintain computer network, system and hardware documentation for colleagues to reference
- Train employees on how to effectively use MAC and Windows computer systems and components ie. iPhone, Android, iPad, etc.
- Order software, hardware, track inventory & oversee the ticket system for IT issues
- Maintain inventory of equipment, including the invoicing
- Install and troubleshoot networks, networking hardware devices and software
- Develop and document system standards for computer and network devices
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and email while functioning as the email administrator as needed
- Manage and reply to customer support requests via support ticket, live chat, and/or phone
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma; Preferred: Bachelor's degree in MIS, CS, or related field.
- 4+ years’ experience with progressively more responsibility, including a wide range of networking activities.
- Understands complex technical aspects of the role and performs work without supervision
- Advanced technical skills in most of the following areas:
- Windows configuration and administration (server and desktop)
- Mac configuration and administration (server and desktop)
- Must have in-depth knowledge in Google Suite Administration
- Active Directory user/group administration
- Light Networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, Firewalls, Routing, WiFi, MPLS)
- Digital security technology
- Endpoint provisioning and deployment
- Experience being the single/highest point of escalation for technical/systems issues
- Remote support and troubleshooting for printers, peripherals, and mobile devices (Android/Apple)
- Ability to interact with other personnel at multiple levels and across functional boundaries
- This will be a hybrid role which will require up to 2-3 days in the office.
