Apogee Solutions, a Woman Owned Small Business, has an immediate need for an IT Business Analyst to support Future Joint Force Development in Suffolk, VA. Qualified candidates must have a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
The IT Business Analyst will support the experimentation community of interest, knowledge platform, and federation of data sources comprising a Joint experimentation network application for the Joint Staff. The Joint Forces Command is the only combatant command focused on the transformation of U.S. military capabilities and is responsible for Joint concept development and experimentation, Joint interoperability and integration, and Joint training.
The IT Business Analyst will:
- Analyze information technology requirements in business processes by capturing client objectives, identifying viable solutions, assessing risks, and collaborating across process and product teams.
- Assist with developing a new data environment, advanced analytic tools, and business processes to support innovation.
- Identify capability gaps and opportunities to improve current solutions, procedures, and approaches within an Agile development process.
- Work individually and collaboratively with teammates to accomplish tasks.
Required Experience:
- Active DOD TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility
- Bachelor's degree
- 4 years' experience streamlining business processes with technical solutions and creating data products for analytical use with 2 years of data science experience, including data analytics and data visualization
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Project and Visio
- Ability to utilize Databricks and Qlik
- Certified Knowledge Manager
- Working knowledge of the DOD Architectural Framework (DODAF) and the software development lifecycle
- Experience creating verbal and written communication products for clients, such as information papers, presentations, and technical exchanges
- Ability to gather requirements for development of new capabilities and the ability to research, analyze, and recommend new technical capabilities to non-technical audiences
