New England Life Care currently has a Full Time Inventory Control Specialist position available. This position is Monday – Friday (no weekends!) 7:30AM – 4PM and will be based in our Woburn, MA branch.

Job Summary: *
Under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director of Purchasing, the person in this position is responsible for the receiving and management of inventory.
*
Job Responsibilities: *
Assists with inventory management functions involving receiving and stocking drug shipments as well as computer system inventory maintenance.
Receives all products into the warehouse, verifying packing slips to the corresponding shipment and reports any discrepancies to Regional Purchasing.
Monitors and ensures effective product/drug recall and removal of outdated or unwanted inventory.
Tracks and reports waste/consumables with appropriate staff.
Assist in inventory report management and follow up to appropriate departments utilizing trends and data.
Monitor and communicate drug and supply shortages (anticipated or unanticipated) to appropriate staff. Participates in or leads shortage committee meetings.
Assist in ensuring adequate levels of drugs, supplies and equipment are available at all times to minimize shortages.
Coordinates, monitors, and initiates inter pharmacy site transfers of drug and supply.
Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with all members of NELC Supply Chain Management (SCM) team members, including on site reviews and education.
Routinely rotates all shelved stock when receiving new product.
Assists in the development and monitoring of all Supply Chain Management and Key Performance Improvement dashboards and goals.
Assists Regional Director of Purchasing with identifying cost and inventory reduction strategies.
Assists in the completion of quarterly inventory counts and monthly cycle counts.
Assumes responsibility for department inventory management reports any discrepancies to Regional Purchasing.
Participates in the follow up of inventory related occurrences.
Ensures departmental compliance with all NELC policies and procedures, federal, state and Joint Commission regulations/standards.
Assists with inventory management functions involving purchase order replenishment.
Assists in barcoding and mapping new inventory items

Educational / Professional Requirements: *
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Certification/Licensure as Pharmacy Technician preferred.

Excellent Organizational Skills
Requires the ability to work independently, take initiative, prioritize tasks, and escalate issues as needed.
Able to collaborate in a team environment
Customer Service skills
Knowledge of basic computer systems(MS Office)
