SUMMARY:

Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value of material, or supplies stocked in establishment by performing the following duties. Supports Warehouse, Production and Planning on complex issues by performing routine activities associated with material discrepancies. Enters data into Enterprise One system

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Counts inventory and tracks totals to inventory records.
  • Compares inventories to records or computes figures from records to obtain current inventory.
  • Reviews variance, verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
  • Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies, and computes inventory balance, price, and cost.
  • Prepares reports such as inventory balance and shortages.
  • Prepares list of depleted items and recommends survey of defective or unusable items.
  • Compute amounts of stock required for operations based on production schedules.
  • Enter data into Enterprise One material resource planning system.
  • Interface with warehouse, plant production, shipping , lab personnel and customer services representatives to ensure that inventory is accurate and is fully communicated.
  • Coordinate and Conduct cycle counts as needed.
  • Work with Warehouse on operating system metrics.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / EHS RESPONSIBILITIES:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and climb or balance.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

Key Education or Certification Required

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Required Minimum Number of Years of Relevant Experience:

1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent prioritization skills
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Proficient in computer programs and systems for data management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
