Job Description:
The Internal Communications Associate will be responsible for understanding the go-forward business strategy and the Americas IC strategy in order to build and support communications plans and underlying platform support tactics that will allow the Americas IC team to engage the Americas employee population and optimize the employee experience.
The successful candidate is a highly organized operator who thrives on attention to detail, organizational systems, accountability, and the opportunity to build something new. The candidate is creative, has a passion for flawless execution, and is adept at juggling competing priorities.
The candidate is laser-focused on how we impact and improve the employee experience. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success managing employee communications platforms and tools programs in matrixed or start-up organizations.
Strong writing, editing, digital, and presentation skills are essential. The candidate should have strong knowledge in all aspects of corporate communications, understanding the innate interconnectivity of internal organizational communications, executive communications, PR, social media, internal and external events.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Strong team player with the ability to build good relationships with members of the M&C community
- Operates under close supervision and applies precisely defined competencies
- Works co-operatively with others to achieve team goals
- In alignment with Americas IC leadership, maintain and deliver internal communications plans, presentations, and materials to support business priorities, inspire employee engagement, and drive company culture
- Support Americas IC leadership with planning and presentation of quarterly communications strategies
- Liaise with internal newsletter, IC campaign, and Intranet site teams
- Develop and manage relationships between internal business partner groups, such as the PX team and the GEO comms teams, and direct communication cascades through these areas
- Develop content for communications touchpoints
- Maintain clear library of communications platform elements such as shared company mailboxes, priority distribution lists, shared company calendars, communications contacts across the business and SME/EA contacts for all stakeholders and business priorities
- Project manage communications team technology program rollouts
- Monitor activities and deliverables to track progress, metrics, and audience / stakeholder feedback
- Monitor shared mailboxes and email moderation tools
- Successfully deliver quality project requirements on-time
- Build-out and continuously improve internal processes and procedures to improve internal communications for the Americas
- 5-10% travel
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelors’ degree required, organizational communications strategy or marketing communications preferred
- 0-5 years of well-rounded experience in internal communications or marketing
- Must: excellent writing, grammar, and organizational skills
- Must: excellent verbal presentation skills
- Must demonstrate the capacity to thrive in complex organizations with multiple constituents up to and including C-Suite executives, and the ability to work with creative teams and serve diverse audiences.
- Ability to resolve issues and propose solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to deliver against extremely tight deadlines.
- Highly flexible; able to quickly respond to changing or unanticipated needs and mobilize cross-functional teams accordingly.
- This individual must be a high energy self-starter who is comfortable collaborating or working independently
- She/he possesses the professional maturity to whether the unknown.
- She/he should have excellent interpersonal skills,
- She/he must be highly organized and able to multitask.
- She/he should be able to work in both Macintosh and PC environments and have at least intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Microsoft PowerPoint and shared mailboxes in Microsoft Outlook
- Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, in particular) preferred
