Position: Design Assistant
As a Design Assistant, you will work on a team of other talented residential interior designers, receive support from design mentors, and participate in all project phases through project coordination, organization, and documentation.
What You'll Do:
- Assist in selecting backgrounds, furniture, accessories and fabrics;
- Attend meetings with Clients and other professionals and take/organize meeting notes;
- Create, manage, and organize electronic project files and binders;
- Order product samples and check availability/pricing of products;
- Assist with space planning by researching and entering specifications into finished schematics;
- Support design team with managing subcontractors and facilitating project installations.
What You Bring:
- Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or a similar program;
- Very strong written and verbal communication, organizational and collaborative skills, including attention to detail and follow-through;
- Professional and friendly demeanor;
- Preferred 1-3 years of experience in a similar position.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Approx. $40,000 - $50,000 per year depending on experience and skill level
