About the Job

Salary :

  • Starting at $42,500.00
  • $2,000.00 Sign-on Bonus

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver family centered casework services to parents and their children to meet mutually established goals that ensure the children's safety and preserve the family unit.
  • Document all services delivered in SACWIS to comply with agency, state, and federal regulations and requirements.
  • Complete initial and subsequent Safety Assessments, Integrated Assessments, CANS and 497 Client Service Plans per DCFS and contract procedures.
  • Conduct Child and Family Team Meetings and case staffing, seeking family input on service planning and decision making regarding service delivery and goal setting.
  • Supervise parent/child visits as required for child safety.
  • Visit family home, day care setting, school, and other appropriate settings to assess child safety and well-being and progress towards established goals.
  • Evaluate children and families' progress toward goals and services delivered to ensure services are meeting the objectives of the family, and are being provided in a culturally respectful way.
  • Encourage full participation of the family in service planning. Know parents rights and responsibilities and the Service Appeal process.
  • Promote and maintain cooperative working relationships with service providers for effective referral and service planning.
  • Attend court hearings, case staffings, or other activities necessary to coordinate client services.
  • Travel to deliver services in the family's home, and/or transport clients to alternative service locations.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree, highly preferred in social work or human service degree as per current DCFS licensing standards (Required)
  • Child welfare experience (preferred)
  • Completion of DCFS criminal background check (Required)
  • Must be at least 21 years of age, obtain an insured vehicle, clean driving record, and three years driving record with a valid driver's license
