The duties include but are not limited to:
- Prepares and presents instruction to the cadets enrolled in JROTC.
- Conducts the JROTC program in accordance with laws, regulations, and policies as established by the U.S. Army and local district.
- Maintains good relations with the school authorities, faculty, and student body.
- Advises the SAI on improvements within the unit.
- Supervises extra-curricular activities.
- Attends Army JROTC summer camp with cadets from his/her school.
- Performs any other duties assigned by his/her Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a citizen of the United States.
Must have retired from the active Army within the last five years with at least twenty years of honorable service.
Must be certified by the US Army to teach the Army JROTC program.
Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma (Must possesses an AA degree within five (5) years of hire date).
Must have a rank of Sergeant First Class, Master Sergeant, First Sergeant, Sergeant Major, or Command Sergeant Major or Warrant Officer.
Some college background is preferred.
