Offering more than 100 certificate, associate and bachelor’s degree programs, Daytona State College (DSC) has responded to the education and workforce training needs in our region for more than 60 years. The college enrolls nearly 25,000 students annually at its seven instructional sites, with graduates serving in critical fields including health care, emergency services, business, education, hospitality, engineering, technology and more.
We currently have an opportunity to join our team of talented and diverse Faculty and Staff as an Institutional Research Analyst I.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, social sciences, or related field and two (2) years of related work experience.
Desired Qualifications: Experience with database design, system analysis or report generation. Knowledge of Higher Education in the areas of reporting, relational database work, and college policies, processes and operations.
The salary is $40,000.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains records and files, and prepares periodic and special reports to document activities for workforce, Perkins, NRS, and Adult Education programs. Prepares presentations to summarize data collection and analyses.
- Reviews and analyzes collected information using different methods and computer programs. Responsible for researching and responding to the College's requests for data and ad hoc reports, including use of Office 2016 programs, PeopleSoft query manager, and other applicable software.
- Responsible for providing academic program data for the School of Adult Education.
- Provide support and assistance in the development and distribution of most of the department’s publications, including but not limited to the Fact Facts brochure, Core Performance Indicators, and the IR website.
- Serve on appropriate campus committees.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The successful applicant must demonstrate experience in data collection, analysis, and report generation; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism. Experience with PeopleSoft queries, SQL or other reporting tools and Microsoft Office is a plus. This individual must have strong problem solving and project management skills. Additionally, the successful applicant must be able to learn new technologies (i.e., PeopleSoft) quickly and proficiently, manage multiple tasks concurrently and interact with a wide range of users and remain calm under aggressive deadlines. The ability to analyze data and present information (both verbally and written) in a concise and understandable format is essential. Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills are required.
