We are looking for a talented and competitive Inside Sales Representative that thrives in a quick sales cycle environment. An inside sales rep will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives.

Job Summary

The Inside Sales Representative functions as the catalyst to the sales process.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Generating new sales opportunities and expanding existing sales orders
  • Responding to customer order and quotation requests for multiple and varied accounts
  • Communicating order requirements and requests to necessary internal employees

Required Skills and Professional Experience Summary

This position requires a minimum of two (2) year’s of experience within the Waterworks industry. The ideal candidate will possess Waterworks Industry product and market knowledge, as well as the ability to use that knowledge effectively.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Directs the complete sales process from the initial inquiry through project completion
  • Provides overall customer service and support
  • Tracks open sales orders and provides updates as needed
  • Uses active listening, clear communication, and conflict resolution techniques to resolve order issues and customer concerns
  • Proactively seeks new sales opportunities
  • Uses matrices, lists, and other related sales information to provide appropriate and competitive prices
  • Monitors inventory levels and current lead times to provide accurate completion estimates
  • Enhances customer purchase experience through detailed product knowledge

Nature of Position

  • Relies on experience, training, directives and C&B best practices to achieve desired results
  • Uses sound judgement to confidently choose an appropriate course of action
  • Identifies improvement opportunities from feedback received by customers and executes performance objectives as provided by supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Understand customer needs and requirements
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory
  • Team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals

  • Proven inside sales experience preferably in water/wastewater
  • Strong phone presence
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
