Infectious Diseases Implementation Science Faculty Position, Open Rank
The Section of Infectious Diseases at Boston Medical Center is recruiting talented investigators to join our faculty. Candidates who have expertise in qualitative data analysis and implementation science research methods are sought. Candidates whose work includes a broad interest in infectious diseases or related fields are preferred. The position includes participation in a range of qualitative and mixed methods research projects, protected research time, and the experience, resources, and mentoring of senior faculty.

The successful candidate will participate in investigator-initiated and/or collaborative implementation and qualitative research. The candidate will also have the opportunity to engage with other projects within a safety-net hospital with a unique and diverse patient population. In addition to a faculty appointment within the Section of Infectious Diseases, the candidate will also have the opportunity to become a faculty affiliate of the Boston University Evans Center for Implementation and Improvement Sciences (CIIS).

Applicants must have a PhD or DrPH in health services research, a public health-related field or an MD or equivalent degree with qualitative and/or implementation science research methods experience. Additional training will be provided as needed. The successful candidate will also be able to move toward an independent research career or to focus on supporting infectious disease faculty and other faculty on qualitative research projects. Boston Medical Center and Boston University are committed to building a culturally diverse faculty and strongly encourage applications from women and under-represented minority candidates. Candidates who will create programs that recognize the need for racial equity and justice and prioritize our mission for ‘exceptional care without exception,’ are of particular interest.
