Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. the makers of YellaWood® Pressure Treated Pine, has an immediate opening for an INDUSTRIAL Maintenance Technician at its facility in Jesup, GA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance, routine and non-routine repairs, and troubleshoot problems with belts, chains, and machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, air, motors, pumps, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tools, repair parts, and equipment.
• Dismantle machines, using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools.
• Assemble and install equipment, using hand tools and power tools.
• Support the Preventative Maintenance program with a goal of continually reducing unscheduled downtime.
• Analyze problems and interpret technical and schematic diagrams/information necessary to make required repairs (troubleshooting of equipment issues).
• Inspect, operate and test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunction and validate work performed.
• Obtain quotes and identify replacement parts as needed.
• Perform basic oxyacetylene cutting and welding.
• Ensure safety by following all company policies including safety rules, procedures and Lock-out / Tag-out procedures, complete all assigned work orders within the time allotted, and maintain complete records of work performed.

Job Requirements:

• 2 years of Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience.
• Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC Knowledge preferred.
• Ability to operate Forklift.
• Welding, plumbing, and pipe fitting experience a plus!
• Possess tools required for job.
