Overview:
Tyler Pipe & Coupling in Marshfield, MO is seeking an Industrial Automation Technician to join our team! This person will be responsible for repairing and maintaining the computer-controlled systems and robotic devices used within the facility. This is a 2nd shift position with hours from 1pm-9:30pm.
Responsibilities:
- PLC, robot, and HMI programming, implementation and troubleshooting to ensure safe operation of equipment.
- Preventative maintenance of production and support equipment.
- Check meters and gauges to verify that machines work properly and analyze the results to ensure they meet company standards.
- Design, verification and maintain electric schematics.
- Assist in setting up, maintaining programming, electrical components and schematic standards.
- Completion of all required work orders and associated paperwork.
- Responsible for improving equipment reliability and uptime.
- Implementation of continuous improvement ideas. Provides training and feedback to operators as needed.
- Recommend necessary adjustments to parts and machinery to ensure proper production run.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems and perform repairs, targeting root cause elimination, preferably while processes continue to run.
- Preferred experience with Siemens, RS Logix 5000, and Epson Robotics.
- Keeps work area clean, safe and orderly at all times.
- Performs other miscellaneous duties as required.
- Requires associate’s degree in automation technology or related degree. Job trade knowledge in the field of hydraulics, pneumatics programmable logic controllers, electrical circuits, electrical machinery and human-machine interfaces can be used in lieu of a degree.
- Four to five years’ experience preferred.
- Strong Math, computer and electronic skills.
- Ability to work with hand tools and various instruments.
