We are seeking a dependable and outgoing Technical Sales Rep to aggressively drive new and current business in Western TN. As a Technical Sales Rep with Control Source, you will prospect for new sales opportunities and develop strong working relationships with new customers. You will maintain relationships with current customers and develop their accounts through increased sales. You will use a consultative approach to identify and close key target account sales and keep track of your sales pipeline through Profit 21, our CRM software.
Job Responsibilities
As a Technical Sales Rep with Control Source, you will work independently to prioritize your daily schedule and appointments in order to make three to five effective outside sales calls per day within the Western TN region.
Additional responsibilities of the Technical Sales Rep include:
- Coordinating with Inside Sales Representatives, Product Specialists and Application Engineers to completely meet all customer needs
- Developing and maintaining strong knowledge of our product lines
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with our product vendor
Job Requirements
As a Technical Sales Rep with Control Source, you must possess a strong commitment to exceptional customer service as well as superb communication and time management skills. You must have consultative sales skills, a strong work ethic and an outgoing yet professional demeanor that inspires customer confidence. You must also be a dependable and independent worker who approaches customers as a problem-solver.
Additional requirements for the Technical Sales Rep include:
- Associate’s degree or higher in Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- OR Minimum 3 years experience in the Industrial Automation and Electrical Distribution industry
- Strong technical and engineering knowledge and abilities
- Ability to analyze customers’ technical needs and suggest appropriate solutions
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, Drives, Sensors, Machine Safety and/or Motion Control a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
