In-Home 5th Grade Math & ELA Tutor - Ruskin Job at Grade Potential Tutoring
About
I have an immediate need for an in-home 5th grade math & ELA tutor in Ruskin. The student is a 5th grader attending LLT Academy. She needs to work with a tutor as she is struggling in reading and math.
The student has been assessed by her school at a 3rd grade level for math and reading. She enjoys reading books, such as "The Dork Diaries." When encountering an unknown word she's able to decipher it about 40% of the time. Her composition work seems to have gotten worse as the term progresses.
She's currently getting D's in math. She's current on homework, but tends to do poorly on tests. Fractions and decimals are giving her trouble.
The goal is for her to be at or above grade level across all subjects. The family would like to see her doing better on exams.
The family wants 1 hour sessions 2 times a week. They are available Monday through Friday from 4pm-7pm.
Job Requirements
- Tutor must be willing to work at student's home in Ruskin.
- Minimal travel required to meet with student (you decide the distance you are willing to travel, typically 5-10 miles)
Student Availability
MON-FRI 4pm-7pm
