Job Title: Immunology Supervisor

Shift: Split 1st/2nd Shift 5x8s
Hours: 40 hours/day
Bonuses: Up to $5k sign-on and $4k relocation

Immunology Supervisor Responsibilities:

Assume responsibility for the technical operations of the specific laboratory section.

Ensure all procedures are performed according to section policy and procedure.

Assist and support the Lab Director/Manager and act as the supervisor for the assigned clinical area.

Immunology Supervisor Essential Functions:

• Manage implementation and maintenance of quality, efficiency, and safety in the section, meeting CAP standards continually.
• Communicate deficiencies, test development progress, team member actions, and unusual occurrences to leadership.
• Take initiative in tracking and resolving problems, checking the accuracy of test methods and instruments.
• Review laboratory reports for extraordinary results and clerical errors before reporting to the medical record.
• Maintain an adequate supply of materials and participate in cost analysis of tests.
• Complete orientation and training within the section and assign schedules and work.
• Ensure timely completion and reporting of work assigned to section members.
• Function as a bench technologist, assisting with the workload when needed.

Immunology Supervisor Skills:
Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Comfortable working with biohazardous materials and exposure to chemical, fire, and mechanical hazards.

Physical abilities include standing, walking, stretching, stooping, bending, and lifting light to moderately heavy loads (20-50 pounds).

Education: Bachelor's Degree with certification in MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), HTL(ASCP), CT(ASCP), or equivalent. Two years of experience in the specific laboratory section is required.
