Hybrid Technical vCIO – MSP (Hands-On Experience)
We are a customer-oriented Managed Service Provider servicing the greater Chicago area. For over 20 years, we have provided white-glove support to our clients and have recently expanded our service offerings. The Technical vCIO – MSP (Hands-On Experience) provides analytical support to the team and is responsible for conducting technical and information-gathering components of various IT consulting engagements. As a Technical vCIO – MSP (Hands-On Experience), you will work with clients who require frequent interaction via virtual or face-to-face meetings, including onsite travel when necessary. The Technical vCIO – MSP (Hands-On Experience) would understand Microsoft OS, AD, DNS, DHCP, SAN, Citrix, Disaster Recovery, etc.
Hybrid Technical vCIO – MSP (Hands-On Experience) Requirements:
- 3+ years working in a similar role for a Managed Service Provider
- Hands-on technical background
- Must be familiar with technologies such as O365, Azure, Active Directory, Cisco, Windows Servers, Azure IaaS, Azure AD, Hyper-V and VMware, DNS, DHCP
- Exchange, SQL, IIS
- VMware Virtual Software Products
- Learn business goals of owned clients and provide ongoing strategic IT alignment via regular cadence meetings and check-in or heartbeat touches.
- Own the preparation of annual capital and operating budgets in collaboration with sales
- Manage approved budget items in collaboration with the client
- Cisco technology (firewalls, routers, switches) and networking concepts
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
- Prepare for regular cadence client meetings with supporting documentation provided by NOC, including a review of completed tickets. Identify patterns in completed tickets in support of delivering strategic recommendations to clients.
- Proven customer service and problem-solving skills, working directly with clients.
- You are comfortable working with C-suite executives in a consultative fashion
- Maintain a broad landscape of technical knowledge, including network administration, virtualization, shared storage, hardware, software, cloud technologies
- The Consultant Analyst generates report and presentation materials and will often accompany other team members in client meetings to present reports and strategic recommendations
- Assist in the onboarding and documentation of new Managed Services clients.
- Complete training and certification goals at least annually
