Human Service Specialist - Bilingual Spanish

Entry level bilingual candidates and new graduates will be considered and given extensive job training.

The Bilingual Human Service Specialist will work with Spanish and English speaking youth in foster care, resource care or on an independent living stipend. The job entails assessment, planning, case management, linkage, and advocacy. Home, school and community visits are primarily in Middlesex and Monmouth Counties.

Entry level bilingual person will be considered and trained. Supervisors are always available.

This is a full time, regular, benefitted, non-exempt, hourly position on weekdays and early evenings, sometimes until 7:30PM. No weekends, no crisis coverage, no afterhours coverage. Any overtime hours are paid.

Required:

• Vaccination and Boosters
• BA or Foreign Equivalency
• Travel both with your own vehicle (with Federal mileage reimbursement) and with an agency vehicle (when transporting families).
• Valid NJ driver's license and vehicle registered in NJ.
• Clean background check, including fingerprinting, State and Federal and CARI check.

Bachelor’s degree may be in Social Work, Social Services, Sociology, Human Services, Family and Children Services, Child Advocacy, Psychology, Latin American Studies, Woman Studies, Gender Studies, Urban Planning, Child Welfare, Nursing, Communication, Juvenile Justice, Community Health, Child Development, Human Development, Education, Health, Counseling, Philosophy, or other helping professional degree. Educational foreign equivalency accepted.
