Job Summary
The Human Resources Specialist is a key member of our leadership team whose responsibilities are in the following functional areas: Benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, policy implementation, company compliance, staffing, as well as individual and team development.
Essential Job Functions
- Recruiting and hiring the right candidates based on the company’s core values, while ensuring that all employees receive the training, support, feedback and resources necessary to succeed in their role and on behalf of the company
- Handling the annual renewals and implementation of employee benefits, as well as managing benefit administration including recommendations of benefits programs, enrollment, worker’s compensation programs and return to work plans
- Updating, developing and enforcing company policies
- Ensuring company compliance with local, state and federal regulations
- Developing and implementing new hire and returning employee orientation programs
- Overseeing the development of an employee incentive program
- Building a culture of safety and training, regularly assessing employee workplace safety and ensuring leaders have the resources they need to train employees in proper procedures and practices
- Administering a program to award desired employee behaviors to support a culture of appreciation and teamwork
- Delegating responsibility, motivating and leading direct reports to achieve goals and objectives
- Evaluating employee job performance, implementing an employee review structure and conducting necessary reviews
- Other duties as assigned, which could be directly related, or unrelated to the original position
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent; and/or 5+ years of Human Resources leadership experience
- Ability to communicate well with all levels of employees, clients, and other outside contacts
- Bilingual with the ability to read, write and speak in English and Spanish
- Valid NH Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record
- Certification in the field is desired

- $60,000 – $80,000 annual salary commensurate with experience
