POSITION SUMMARY

The HR Analyst will drive insights and actions across the HR function through data analytics, reporting and project related work. The work will span the establishment of reporting tools and standard and ad hoc reporting; the Analyst will also conduct, data analysis to identify and recommend actions to support business priorities. The Analyst will own and deliver functional continuous improvement projects in order to improve company performance through better analytics, reporting and processes. This position reports directly to the VP, Human Resources.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Delivers standard reporting packages and provide analytics, insights and recommendations for recruitment, hiring practices, turnover, compensation, benefits, and engagement activities
  • Maintains and updates employee data dashboards for the HR function
  • Supports the annual merit cycle and variable pay programs, including data management for financial accruals, project managing year-end bonus payments, annual merit, performing system testing, and assisting HR partners with merit-and bonus-related questions.
  • Drives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of existing systems and tools and identifies alternatives that better meet business needs
  • Cleans and maintains data through routine audits and validation to identify discrepancies and missing data, contacts appropriate individual for further information, and makes appropriate corrections in the HRIS system
  • Works with the HRIS team to create robust reporting for the HR function and to identify improvements to the company’s HRIS system
  • Drives compliance reports, such as EEO-1, Vets100 and other Federal/State/Provincial data requirements, as well as delivery of audit requests
  • Works with HR leadership to deliver on HR projects, programs, and initiatives

REQUIRMENTS:

  • 4-6 years of progressive responsibility in analytical roles, experience with compensation analytics preferred
  • Bachelors’ degree in a technical field: Math, Science, Engineering, or another business-related field
  • Knowledge of methodologies, technologies and processes used to collect, analyze and utilize employee data to enhance the company’s competitive advantages through in-depth data analytics.
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort dealing with large amounts of data and core Excel functions including VLOOKUP, IF Statements, Pivot Tables, etc.
  • Ability to understand data and extract metrics and trends from data
  • Ability to run reports and create ad hoc reports
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer-centric attitude, high energy level and a strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to multi-task while being detail oriented and provided high quality work
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to interact well within all levels of the company
  • Capacity to apply discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment using excellent organizational skills and precise attention to detail
